An old-school sandwich shop in Norristown that has great service and great prices. I got the cheesesteak, Italian hoagie, and some fries. Everything was simple, yet delicious. Stop by if you’re in the area.

Best spot to get a cheesesteak in all of philly. They are truly rated as a 5 star shop. Service is impeccable and being from another state, i still had the home feeling when here. Food is top notch and the vibes are great. Definitely a spot to check out when in philly!

Lou's is a national treasure the likes of which are becoming excedingly rare. An old school luncheonette with atmosphere to spare that is open for breakfast and lunch 4 days a week. Whatever it is, if you order it here it'll probably be the best one you ever had. I hadnt been there in 20 years but I was in the area and I wound up coming there four times in a week. Same as it ever was, which is fantastic

The only place to buy the original Zep. I travel 45 minutes for this sandwich. Unbelievably tasty (and Italian). Two of us shared three Zeps. Thanks Lou Tony Damiani

Lou’s is a great place to stop in for a fast and delicious bite to eat. They’re probably best known for their “Zep” sandwich but you can grab other sandwiches, cheesesteaks etc. Stepping into Lou’s can offer up a bit of nostalgia along with the tasty food. The counter space and interior will take you back in time to an old school luncheonette type environment that is enjoyable to sit at while eating in or waiting to get your food to go. On this particular visit, I grabbed a cheesesteak with American and fried onions. It was delicious as usual. A Conshohocken Bakery long roll with a substantial amount of tender steak, plenty of perfectly melted cheese and they weren’t shy with the fried onions. Definitely hit the spot. While Lou’s may not be on everyone’s cheesesteak radar, they are well worth consideration!

I've been waiting to try a Zep from Lou's for a while. Also had a cheesesteak..Both were insanely delicious! The tomatoes on my Zep were soooo good 🤌🤌🤌 considering they're not in season yet. Cheese steak was delish..loves the Conshohocken Rolls. The customer service was outstanding ans they made sure to call me by name! Old school place from everything down to the music. I'll be back when I pass through again!

Came here with my uncle and girlfriend for lunch. We were in for a treat. This place is definitely one of those secret restaurants that have been lost in time. The decor, vibe, taste, and service were all great and reminiscent of an old and classic era 😍 We had a cheesesteak zep combo which was stuffed to the brim and amazing as well as a fried fish sandwich accompanied by some fried with a cheese dip. All to die for and perfectly on point. They had a very enticing ice cream shake on the menu, but sadly it was their last day of that week open so they had run out of milk. I’m looking forward to next time.

It’s dated, a bit worn, and absolutely perfect! First time here, so I got a small Zep, a small cheesesteak, fries & a coke. Zep sandwich - absolutely awesome!!! The cooked bologna (which refers to how it is made, as it is still a cold-cut and is not fried and served warm as I was expecting!), was a tasty variation of salami that I really enjoyed. Served on a local “Conshohocken roll” - which was puffy/doughy/yummy. Garnished with provolone, ripe tomatoes slices, generous onion slices, olive oil & spices. I then added some of the pepper relish (not spicy) that was in a jar on the table, to mix up the bites. Unique & delicious - a great sandwich! Cheesesteak - I added grilled onions, lettuce, tomato & mayo. The meat was juicy, flavorful, of high quality, and was just the right amount. I enjoyed the softer hoagie bun (as opposed to the crusty sesame seed variety usually served in the city at the traditional places). A really good cheesesteak! Fries - the only thing I wasn’t “wowed” by. Totally fine, but nothing special. Coke - came out of a fountain, and included a refill - the way it should be! Bonus - it tasted a tad syrup-heavy, which I’m not complaining about… Overall - this place is a gem, and is worth a visit if you are in the area. The food is great, and walking into the restaurant is literally stepping back in time. Loved paying at the register on the way out, with requisite random candy for sale on the counter. Reminded me of going out to eat with my parents as a kid in the 70’s.
